So exactly what is a ZORBOID and what can it do for you?
Scum absorbers for spas, hot tubs and pools come in many shapes and with different names; Scum Bug, Scum Ball, Look - its Bob, Zorbo, Zorbie, etc. etc. Their common goal is to make your life easier when it comes to maintaining your spa, hot tub or pool. Human body oils, lotions, dirt and dead-skin debris is constantly introduced to your water whilst 'bathing'. By floating these devices in the spa or skimmer area on the water surface the water should remain sparkling clean and avoid developing that dreaded scum line! Another benefit is that you can vastly reduce, if not do away with the need to add coagulating chemicals like 'no foam' & 'sparkle' to your water.
Also, a great way of helping the filters and allowing for a longer period of time between filter cleaning, is to use a scum absorber. As these products float along the surface of the hot tub absorbing much of the oil and the dirt that would otherwise be sent to the filter, it eases the burden on the filter and reduces the amount of cleaning that has to be done.
